This instruction so far tested on st finder versions 2008/2010/2015/2016.

NO NEED for CAD/SVG viewer software to be installed, to view wiring diagrams.
Steps to run St finder using Internet Explorer 11 or 10 with Windows 8 and 7:

 

1) Visit http://facinfo.okstate.edu/floor-plans.aspx and select a building ANY.

2) You receive notification at the bottom of the browser window to install Autodesk WHIP ActiveX Control for IE.

3) You will be prompted with a Windows User Account Control dialog to authorize the installation.
Click Yes
and now you are done !!!!

4) MB starfinder online software from mbstartool.com is ready for use.

Workaround for Compatibility Issues with 64-Bit Version of Windows Vista and Windows 7

GETTING YOUR CD or DVD to WORK with 64-Bit

This also applies to CDs/DVDs that are not listed as being compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Step 1

The first step is to prevent the WHIP! application from starting. This is possible by adding an “Autodesk WHIP!” key to the Windows Registry. This will prevent the WHIP! application from installing, which prevents program start when canceling.

Continue to Step 2 to enable access to wiring diagrams.

Step 2

Go to the Autodesk web site and download Design Review software. Click to Link to Site.http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?id=12423405&siteID=123112

Step 3

Because of the now missing Autodesk WHIP! Plug-in, the wring diagrams on CD/DVD are inaccessible. The workaround for this is a separate “ETM Viewer” application that uses Autodesk Design Review and updated wiring diagrams.

Get the required files:

– Unpack the ETMviewer/zip and webetm***.zip files.

– Move the “webetm”folder and “start.html” file into the empty “ETMviewer/webetm” folder.

I want to diagnose a Mercedes-Benz BUS using Xentry 2015.12 but the program displays “License is incorrect”. Luckily, got help from DieTrih. Copy the solution and result for sharing. Hopefully, it helps others also.

cars and trucks working ok, so i bet it’s working Xenry; but cannot do buses or other heavy equipment MB. I only have this problem with Buses –> “licence incorrect”.

in Xentry this Licence Error Message (sorry, screenshot is in German; i have translated it into English).

Here has a step-by-step tutorial on chang Audi Q5 2010 KM with mileage programmer OBDSTAR X300 Prog3 via OBD2.

Mileage Adjustment Procedure:

The current mileage is 150000 km.

Choose “Function Selection” →“ABS brakes exhaust” →“Mileage Adjustment” →select the cat model “Q5 2008-2012”

Choose “ABS brakes exhaust”

Choose “Mileage Adjustment”

Select car model “Audi Q5 2008-2012” and press “ENTER” to continue

The current mileage of 150000 km (error does not exceed 16km), press “ENTER”

Input the mileage of the adjustment, here input“167091” as an example. This step may cost you about 10-60mins.

Adjustment complete

The mileage turned into 167090km

Done ! Successfully changed the mileage！

Vediamo & DTS Monaco full functionable with SDconnect C4?

I have Star Diagnosis on Dell D630 with SD connect C4 diagnostic head. My software is from 2015, and i want to make update. Here are questions and answers of Mercedes diagnostic software and hardware. Big thanks to all contributors.

Question: Can i install it on Dell E4300 (i7, 8GB, RAID) on 64bit system for better performance?
Answer: Yes. You can buy a HDD with the newest 2017.03 mercedes software
Question: Can i install Vediamo on 64bit?
Answer: Yes.

 

Question: What do DTS Monaco? Its compatible with x64?
Answer: Yes.

 

Question: Vediamo and DTS Monaco will be full functionable with C4 head?

Answer: No ( no DOIP). If yov have SD Connect (C4) with DoIP it will work fully. Check DOIP like in these pictures..

Vediamo 04.02.02 with C3 configure working Shorttest/analysis

It’s kind of ipcircle who share a little installation manual for Xentry users who have problems with Vediamo to work with mb star C3 Mux.

First you need a Xentry/DAS working with your C3 Mux on Com 2, so you can exclude any problems with Comport configuration, bad .bin files for the mux or blacklistet serials.

If you feel, everything is OK with your C3 Mux on Xentry and DAS, install Vediamo 04.02.02 from here:http://www.mbstartool.com/wholesale/das-developer-module-with-vediamo-scn-database-for-mb-star-c3.html

After installation and copy the patch, start Vediamo Startcenter to see, Vediamo ist working.

Close Vediamo.

Go to : C:\program files\Vediamo\Caesar\driver

Here you have to edit the slave.ini, look for [PartD] and change the com port to 2 like this:
Com=2 ; COM port

Now go to: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Vediamo\Config\

Edit here the vediamo.ini
search for:
USE_SISerialDriver=0 under [CAESAR] entry and change it to:
USE_SISerialDriver=1

Search for:
ShowDefaultSystems=0 under [ECOUTE] entry and change it to:

Now we start Ecoute.
Look for the Server message in the left corner.

If you see your c3 mux with serial number, all is fine.

Go to System->Select

you should see all the ECU cbf files in here.

Close this window.

Go to Extras->Flashdata administration
Click Add
select the E:\VediamoData\cff folder.
If you see all these folders, containing all these cff files, choose down at Files of type->Show folders only
click select. Wait ! It’s depends on your Laptop and could take up to 10 min.

close Flashdata administration.

(Solved) SD connect C4 does not woke on Mercedes w176

The problem with most technically inclined individuals trying to fix a dead engine is that we tend to quickly forget ”THE BASICS” ingredients for combustion to take place just so the engine may run!

1. Check for spark, is it there throughout or intermittently or not there at all,

-Famous L5, ECU, DI coils, e.t.c

2. Check for fuel rail pressure ( challenging on any A-class but doable if u want it to start and run),

furthermore M270 has piezo direct injection. so u have to find a way to confirm that fuel is delivered (repair fuel system accordingly)

3. Check for compression and make reference to specific values in WIS.
